This is a project funded by the KfW Development Bank. The project is under the supervision of the global consultancy engineering firm Fichtner for the end client OSHEE Group in Albania.<\/span><\/p>\n

Project duration is 30 months.<\/span><\/p>\n

Brief project description:<\/span><\/p>\n

Lot 1: upgrade\/extension or<\/span> replacement of the existing SCADA system installed in the Distribution Control Center, located in OSHEE’s headquarters in Tirana. The updated\/extended or new system shall comprise one (1) Main Control Center and one (1) Back-up Control Center located in Vlora 1 Substation, Albania, arranged in a multi-redundancy configuration.<\/p>\n

The new Distribution Control Center(s) shall be designed to cover the major requirements for monitoring and control of the Albanian Power Distribution System Network under the Spectrum Power 7 SCADA system from SIEMENS.<\/p>\n

Innovative technology will be integrated into the control systems of initially 15 Substations between Tirana and Durres, as well as the Central Dispatch Center of OSSH.<\/p>\n

Online monitoring and operation of the Substations through the SCADA system, significantly improves real-time identification and management of electrical load, prevents outages and quickly resolves power shortages, ensuring faster restoration of electricity supply to customers.<\/p>\n
